Lab Leader

Lead the procedural lab at our new Fargo location: daily schedules, staffing, supplies, and compliance for a physician-owned lab.

About the Role

The Lab Leader oversees all operational, staffing, compliance, scheduling, inventory, and quality activities within the lab/ASC procedural environment. This role is based at our Fargo, ND location.

What You’ll Do

Operational Oversight

  • Manage daily procedure schedules and block utilization.
  • Coordinate providers, case mix, and procedural timing.
  • Track weekly KPIs including cases/day, utilization, and case durations.

Staffing & Payroll

  • Submit requests for new hires and replacement positions.
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, evaluations, and staff competencies.
  • Oversee lab RNs, techs, PCTs, and front desk staff.
  • Manage staff scheduling and approve payroll/timecards in ADP.

Inventory & Supply Management

  • Order and monitor procedural supplies and medications.
  • Check invoices and monitor inventory levels.
  • Manage AMS/Archer inventory systems and open orders.
  • Maintain oversight of narcotics and medication storage.

Compliance & Quality

  • Ensure ASC/lab regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate infection control and emergency preparedness activities.
  • Manage dosimeter badge tracking and radiology logs.
  • Oversee biomed inspections, oxygen supply coordination, and equipment tracking.
  • Ensure staff credentialing, competencies, certifications, and licensing remain current.
  • Coordinate Medireport training and updates.

Vendor & Equipment Coordination

  • Coordinate with vendors including oxygen suppliers and biomedical service providers.
  • Ensure preventative maintenance and equipment inspections are completed.

Qualifications

  • Active clinical license or credential appropriate to the role (RN, RT, or RVT background preferred)
  • Procedural lab experience with supervisory or lead responsibility
  • Strong scheduling, inventory, and compliance instincts
